Do you love making other people smile?

Are you the type of person who tells a stranger how great they look in their outfit, who changes seat on the bus so the ladies at the last stop can sit together, or who drops everything to join a friend for coffee the day they really need a pick me up…

It feels good to make a difference to someone’s day doesn’t it?

Well, imagine if you could get that feeling every day, just from going to work.

We are looking for people to join a small, friendly team who provide companionship for older people, to help them live independently at home.

What do we do?

Our team offers a range of services, such as:

Enjoying trips out

Shopping, cinema, walks, visits and many other activities you can come up with together.

Respite for family members

Offering companionship to give carers a break. Some of our clients like to spend time doing puzzles, or crafting. Others like to get active in the garden or appreciate some help getting online. We don’t provide medical or intimate care.

Company for appointments

Taking clients to the hairdresser, dentist, hospital appointment or out to meet friends.

Who are we looking for?

If you are enthusiastic, friendly and fun this could be the perfect role for you.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Caring and kind, and who has compassion for others

Trustworthy and flexible in their approach

Keen to work as part of a small friendly team

Looking to make a real difference and brighten the days of our clients

Ideally, happy to work evenings and weekends sometimes

(Please note: We are based across Chester and Wirral and due to the location of some of our clients, a full driving licence is required. Enhanced DBS checks will also be carried out.)

How does the role work?

Working hours

Hours of work are totally flexible. We are ideally looking for people to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, with some evening and weekends where necessary (but this isn’t mandatory).

Flexibility

We can be flexible to fit around your other commitments, making this the perfect role for parents, grandparents and down-sizers who are willing to commit to the same slots each week.

Self-employed

The role is offered on a self-employed basis, but we’re more than happy to offer advice and full support in setting yourself up as self-employed, so your paperwork is minimal.

If you’d like to know more about what we do and how you could be part of our team, please email your CV to hello@vi-vaassist.co.uk
