Not only when she was living in her flat, but more recently visiting her, taking flowers and generally looking after her welfare while in the care home Westwood Court. She has, I am sure, gone well out of her way to help Doreen settle in, and I know that Doreen has not been easy at times whilst settling into this new way of life, but Nicola has helped and reassured her through every step of the way.
People like Nicola are one in a million and I cannot thank her enough for all she does for my Aunty. With us living in Thailand it is so reassuring to get messages and photos from Nicola on how Doreen is progressing.

“I have been using Viva Assist for a year now and have been very pleased with the help they give me.
Being nearly blind makes life difficult especially since covid came along. Jo, the lady who comes to help me is excellent with the computer, ordering things on line, and this year she helped me get tickets to go to Scotland for a weekend which I would have found very difficult to do myself.
On some occasions we go shopping and Jo is very good at guiding me around and explaining things to me and showing me what is available so that I can choose the one I would like. In fact last year she was very helpful when I was choosing a new cooker. Last year I had to buy new phones and Jo has helped me in how to use them.
Having this help from Viva Assist has been a tremendous help to me and relieves me of a lot of stress and makes life easier. My family used to help me a lot, and they still do what they can, but they are older than me and are not in good health themselves.”

“I just wanted to say ‘Thank you’ for the domestic support you gave to my parents following my mothers surgery, I am delighted with the service and although my parents were initially reluctant to accept help, they have since admitted it was a godsend! I’d like to add that not only was the service excellent but your flexibility in undertaking short-term support was particularly helpful – other providers I approached wanted a longer minimum term and that has to be a real selling point for yourselves. As I recall, I obtained your details by approaching Age Concern Chester who without prejudice forwarded me a list of approved local authority suppliers, I would like them to know, but not for them I would not have found such a quality service.”
“Vi-VA have been helping my elderly parents for over a year now with general practical and emotional support and I couldn’t have asked for more from them – they have been a god send. They are extremely flexible in their approach and in working with me as a daughter struggling to help but not being on the doorstep. They are also very adept in tailoring services to individuals. My dad who suffers form dementia gets a different kind of support (some wonderfully varied and stimulating afternoons out!) to my mum who is struggling as a carer and receives help with day to day jobs and a sympathetic and experienced ear to talk to. Understanding my parents situation is only going to get worse is very hard, but having Vi-VA by our side, the future is much less daunting.”
